How does your sponsorship support Great Valley performing arts?

Your donation helps offset costs that fall outside of the GVSD music department's regular operating budget, including:

  • Musical instruments, including repair & replacement costs

  • Equipment, such as our new synth cart and new prop materials every year for marching band and indoor percussion ensembles

  • Uniforms and formalwear

  • Transportation (fuel and tolls) to/from band performances

  • Use of non-school facilities

Which programs receive GVMPA funds and/or volunteer support?

  • Elementary, MS & HS Concert Bands & HS Jazz Band

  • Elementary, MS & HS Choirs

  • MS & HS All-District, Regional & State ensembles

  • HS Marching Band

  • HS Color Guard

  • Special musical ensembles, such as Jazz in the Valley, Indoor Percussion & Indoor Color Guard

  • Costs associated with hosting regional music festivals and marching band competitions at Great Valley

  • Over 800 students across the district’s seven schools are involved in music programming?

  • GVMPA must raise at least $25,000 annually to maintain our current programming across GVSD?

  • The Great Valley High School Marching Band has won the PA State Championship in 2022, 2023 and 2024?

  • GVMPA grants music scholarships to three graduating HS seniors?

  • Participation in music programming has been shown to increase standardized test scores, improve student relationships, and decrease students’ likelihood of engaging in risky behaviors?
